APPNA-STC 4th Annual Indoor Sports Tournament 2025

The APPNA-STC Sports Committee successfully hosted its highly anticipated 4th Annual Indoor Sports Tournament on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at The Downtown Club at the Met, located at 340 West Dallas Street, Houston, TX 77002. The event brought together a vibrant community of sports enthusiasts for a day filled with excitement, competition, and camaraderie.

This year’s tournament featured Table Tennis and Badminton, with both ladies and gentlemen competing across various skill levels. From early morning rallies to thrilling finals, the atmosphere was electric, with participants and spectators cheering on their favorite players.

The event kicked off at 10:00 AM, opening with welcoming remarks from Dr. Mujtaba Jajja, Chair of the Sports Committee. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of staying active and fostering unity through sports. Dr. Hina Mannan, Co-Chair, and Dr. Jawad Babar, Vice Chair, also shared words of encouragement, expressing gratitude to all volunteers and participants for making the tournament a success.

Dr. Naveed Saqib, President of APPNA-STC, applauded the committee for their hard work and highlighted how such events strengthen community ties while promoting health and wellness.

The day concluded with an award ceremony recognizing the winners and celebrating everyone’s participation. Laughter, cheers, and shared memories marked the end of another fantastic year of competition and fellowship.

The APPNA-STC Sports Committee looks forward to an even bigger and better tournament next year as they continue their mission to bring the community together through sports and healthy living.
